Rory Burns is one of county cricket's most accomplished opening batters and a former England international, renowned for his resilience, patience and ability to build match-defining innings.

A product of Surrey's academy, Rory has spent his entire domestic career with the county, developing into one of the leading batters in the English game. His consistency at the top of the order earned him an England Test debut in 2018, where he became a regular opener and represented his country in 32 Test matches.

As captain of Surrey, Rory has led one of the most successful periods in the club's history, guiding the side to multiple County Championship titles while continuing to score heavily year after year. His leadership, determination and tactical awareness have established him as one of the outstanding figures in the domestic game. In 2024, he scored more than 1,000 first-class runs and became the second most successful captain in Surrey's history with four County Championship titles.

Known for his distinctive batting technique and unwavering concentration, Rory thrives in challenging conditions and has built a reputation as one of the most dependable opening batters in English cricket.
